Tesco Oat milk - how did I miss this?

I’ve been giving my LO oat milk since 12 months. I alternate between Tesco own brand, Alpro growing up & Oatley I’ve just noticed this morning Tesco oat drink is not suitable for under 3s as a main drink. I’m so annoyed with myself and also so worried what ingredients in it could have done to her. She has CMPA and I usually double check every food packet for ingredients. She is right as rain but I’m a worrier! Please tell me I’m not the only mum who’s done this.

Don't fret lovely, there are some yoghurt I have most certainly given to my toddlers that I later discovered said not for under 3s. I think it's more for like following that usual don't replace milk as a drink like message which really should change at 1 to 'make sure they get plenty of calcium from other sources instead then'.

My sons dietician literally recommended this as a cheaper alternative to Oatly or Alpro... the iodine amount etc. Is exactly the same too 🤷‍♀️ x

I also did this then by pure chance I walked down the non refrigerated milk aisle and saw the Alpro growing up milk so got that! I wouldn’t worry (I’m a worrier too) and just switch now! The growing up milk is super sweet so she’ll thank you for it haha

I think it's because they say cows milk should be buy obviously allergys change that. Don't worry if it has iodine in it's good for little one x

Thank you everyone. 😃 I bought some Oatley as it contains iodine & calcium and it was on offer Do your babies have CMPA? I was hoping mine would have grown out of it by now but at her latest dietician appointment the reaction to the skin prick test was quite severe. Worried her not eating dairy will affect her long term? Xx

Yes, my son has CMPA, and a soy and coconut allergy. We did the milk ladder back in August and he didn't pass level one, we've also challenged coconut recently which didn't go well either. We're going to try the milk ladder again in February x

🤞🏼🤞🏼 it all goes well in February! Xx

Yes my son has CMPA too. Did the milk ladder at 10 months and he vomited for 24hours and I’ve been too scared to try it again.. we haven’t been offered a skin prick test? Please can you explain what this is? I might ask the GP about it
