How to stop a toddler opening front door that has child locks? We rent and can’t make changes to the house??
My son has figured out how to open doors through the childproof knob cover just take it off. We can’t make renovations or changes and I’m struggling to get my son to listen to me he’ll open it and scare tf out of me trying to get a leaf when I’m not looking

Get a door stoppers to keep intruders out that’s too hard for him to manage
Or out his reach
Idk if it would work for a door but they have the child proof locks for doors where you connect it on one side and put the other on like a cabinet door so they can’t open it. Maybe do it like that so it can just stick on
Get a lock for the top of the door where he can’t reach
Door stopper or the door lock up on top from his reach.
My 5 year old know how to open the front door as well but he knows better to not open the door. We also had to get window locks as he escaped out of the window before and went to the corner store… luckily, we didn’t get CPS called on us as the cops arrived at our front door.
idk how to make him understand never to open it he majority of the time knows it’s bad but how did your son understand to not open it?
Definitely getting an alarm and stopper unless I find a good lock that I won’t have to make holes for but he picks and gets into anything. god help my wild child

Put a chain lock at the top of the door like in a hotel room. We have this on our door
