Neocate question

How long has he been on it? And it could be with how thin it is.

I don’t know if the doctors have said but Neocate is coconut oil based so your little one could not be agreeing with that. Is it just the symptoms you have said or any others? Also could be if you ingested something with dairy on accident that could be causing that x

it’s been a couple weekss since I first started adding it and a couple days of just neocate.
I’m very vigilant with what I eat now and check every label so very unlikely I’ve had something, he’s been so fussy and waking so much, seems uncomfortable all day, lots of wind, harder poos

Oh and more reflux!

He may still have some Pepti 1 left in his system as that has milk in it but hydrolysed, especially if you done a gradual switch. I just changed my girls straight to Neocate from SMA anti reflux so it may just his body getting rid of the rest of the cows milk protein x

It is a temporary side effect whilst bsvies gut gets used to it
Also could of been over eating before to settle tummy so probably doesn't need the full bottle for that reason
It can take 2 weeks fully on neocate for the wind to settle so I'd suggest dentinox in the meantime

To be honest ladies, I stopped giving it to him. He was waking up every half an hour crying, a couple times so sweaty, always so gassy. The day he went back on aptimil pepti one completely changed back to a lot more relaxed. I don’t think something in it agreed with him. Going to contact dietician Monday!

Could’ve been the coconut oil in it x
