(ADHD) Husband refuses to medicate and it’s causing problems
My husband has ADHD and refuses to medicate. He says it makes his brain feel fuzzy and can’t think clear. It’s causing issues in our marriage. He’s constantly edgy and takes it out on me without realizing, huffs and puffs every 2 sec and says everything is fine, never finishes anything and ditches things all over the house. The main issue is his attitude and I can’t take it much longer.
While he was married to his now ex wife he was medicating and she told him she hated who he turns into when he’s on Adderal so now he refuses to take it.
What can I do? What can he take if this isn’t working for him?

Yeah I know about the caffeine… it’s part of the problem… he has 4-5 a day of the strongest energies he can find… it’s going to kill him one day.
I understand completely as my husband has ADHD along side ODD,autism and also has Schizophrenia and unmedicated for his ADHD due to the medication mixed with his anti-psychotics isn't recommended. I've found just simply finding a day-to-day routine that has times that is very structured and helping him with things that he gets overwhelmed with can help yes there's days being his carer and being a mum to 3 is hard but once you find the things that can help him that ain't medication it does get easier and also when he gets hyper just let him get it out obviously make sure he's safe doing so.
I think your not being very supportive to his decision
his descision to verbally and mentally abuse his wife and kids due to his irritability from ADHD…yes you’re right I don’t support that. If it’s not medication it’s going to be a therapist or something natural, but no I don’t support this nightmare anymore.
