Induction!! Gel pessary
I am 41 weeks today and I Just want to post the is to see people’s experiences and how long labour was for them? Contractions and how it felt ?
I had mine in about half 4 this afternoon and I’m getting very painful contractions every 3-5/6 minutes. Luckily codeine and paracetamol has helped with some pain but the contractions are still painful.
I’ve been bouncing on ball, walking around the ward, walking outside and up and down stairs.
I was also 2/3cm when I came in and the midwife could feel his head and would be able to break my waters!!!
Hoping this is a quick process for me. I’m thankful I could get this done

I had this Sunday evening around 6.50pm and within half an hour I was getting contractions which were 1 min long every 1-3 minutes that I was breathing through, had my waters broken about 12.30am by 2am I was on labour ward with gas and air in agony I was only 4cm (started at around 1cm) had 2 doses of pethidine in the end as it was unbearable and he was born safely at 6.30am on the Monday, I was also 41 weeks. Second baby. They say induced labour is more painful which after having a spontaneous 5 1/2 hour birth with my first only on gas and air I can quite agree with. Think this labour was about 11 hours. Good luck ! After he was born the pain is totally forgotten and it’s all worth it 🥰
