Mexican gender reveal

I have a friend whose partner has moved to Canada in recent years from Mexico. They're pregnant and I've offered to throw the gender reveal, she was super excited and accepted. She told me that she wants to have a real mexican party and I'll be honest I'm not sure what all this involves without being very stereotypical which I don't want to do. The other thing is there's a big language barrier and it's difficult to express specific details to eachother. I was wondering if there's any momma's with this background that could offer some ideas? Thank you

My daughters father is Mexican and hos mother threw our baby shower and the vibes are big party lots of people lots of music and food. It think the above is more Mexico themed? But I would assume your friend would wants the party vibe not necessarily the theme of Mexico. And the parties are just super fun and go all out with dancing and everyone having a good time

My husband is from mexico and the biggest thing to understand is Mexico is huge and each state is different. Someone from Guerrero is going to have different traditions then someone from Sonora or Chihuahua. Figure out where she is from and go from there to learn how her state throws parties. Generally it is lots of music, great food (normally the parties Ive been to you have Tacos or something easy provided by a food vendor), Piñatas are used but Im not sure if they are for gender reveals. They also normally have a lot of people because its a come all kind of situation, you tell all your friends to come and then they come with their friends to

I'm Mexican and I have no idea what she means lol

Most of the people I know are Mexican and have never thrown a gender reveal, not even family back home so must be something they do certain places?

I think she meant more of a Mexican party vibe not so much the gender reveal specifically that's just how she wanted it to feel is like a Mexican party
