We have raised his mattress so he is always laying higher with his head (towels underneath the mattress) which definitely helps.

A cough is the body’s way of recovering from a viral infection and it can take weeks to go away. The viruses get stuck in the mucus lining the airways and the cough helps to get the mucus up and out - but children often swallow the mucus instead of spitting it out.
As long as your little one is drinking, passing good amounts of urine, playing happily and isn’t becoming more lethargic this will pass and you don’t need to go back to the doctors.
We use Vicks vaporub and bronchostop syrup to help when my little one has a bad cough. Sitting them more upright at night can help - so a pillow, or an arm under their neck if you cosleep. If they’re snotty, try to clear their nose with saline drops/snot suckers.

Baby vicks on his feet and then put socks on, calpol plug in if you haven't got one already I swear by it! Hope he gets better soon x

Thank you everyone for helping me 🥰 xx

My little one had a cough, specially in the night, she wouldn't sleep because of it. i put half onion under her cot when she went sleep and next morning was much better. Now she cough now and again but not for long and she sleep all night.
