Has anyone ventured out on a date night yet? My baby boy goes in March to nursery and I know I need to get used for leaving him a little bit before then. My husband has a Christmas and he has said we can take the baby or ask someone to look after him. Also we would love to go on a cinema day but it’s the fact of leaving him!he is still Only four months.

We went on a date night last week, we left baby with the grandparents for a couple of hours (dinner and drinks) and asked them to call us if anything happened/baby got too upset. Turns out baby was absolutely fine and had a blast, they sent us regular photos which I think helped alot as we could see baby was happy. We came home to a happily snoozing baby. Grandparents loved having that time with him -We will definitely be doing again. I think if you have someone you trust to look after him and you feel ready you should give it a try.

i’ve got a date day planned for saturday my MIL is having my son 10-10 so we can get the house tidy and go cinema and shopping! we’ve left him a few times but usually only for an hour or 2 xx he’s 4 months, aslong as you trust them i don’t see why not, the first time i cried the whole time😂

We've been on a few and I hate to admit that I've not enjoyed them. I hate being away from her for too long.

Thank you for all your responses. I think we may try it around Christmas jusy for a couple of hours x

Every date night or night away we've planned we've taken the baby with us because we figured we'd be too stressed and wouldn't enjoy it anyway if we left her. We left the other kids because they are used to staying with grandparents but probably won't leave the bub until she's at least a year maybe older. It's completely up to you and how you'd feel about it though. X
