Hi, just saw your post.
It could be hand foot and mouth. Does he have tiny boils/rash on his hands and feet , maybe his toes or around his mouth?
Always better to check with a doctor though. The only way to treat it is to let it run it’s course and treat the fever with a paracetamol but check with a doctor first.

Could be the beginning of thrush

Ibwas thinking thrush too. Is he breastfed from your actual breast or bottle/formula?

@Jasmine @Shay he is still breastfeeding at night.. what would I look out for in myself? X

@Siobhan thank you for your reply! I will have a look in the morning and of course get a Dr appt ASAP x

Could be scarlet fever but none of us are drs ask a dr to look them over hoping all is well x

You should try to scrape it off his tongue. If it comes off easily it could just be milk residue. If it doesn't come off, it could be thrush. This would cause burning, stinging, or itching in the nipples.

If it's thrush it's a yeast infection. Your nipples would be red, painful, or itchy. Some women get shooting pains when they have a let down. But if he has thrush in his mouth you'll need to be treated as well.

Thrush or strep/scarlet fever. There was a big strep outbreak around Christmas time one year and strawberry tongue was something to look out for, looked a bit similar.

Morning all, Thank you for your advice! I've checked and doesn't scrape off and I do not have any nipple issues as of yet.. checked for spots but can't see any either.. temp has thankfully gone down but I will attempt to get a Dr's appt today! X
