I have the worst anxiety about my baby getting ill I had it my whole pregnancy too, my baby’s dad has a cold and has been breathing in her face all day not listening to me . Coughing without covering his mouth .
I have the worst anxiety she’s going to get ill . Also abroad too which is making me feel worse . I just want to scream at him but he doesn’t listen .
Any tips with helping me deal with this

I think you've got to accept that your baby will get ill at some point and that to some extent it's good for them. If they never get ill they can't build their immune systems, and it could be more dangerous for them later (if they suddenly get exposed to lots at once at nursery/school etc). My baby has already had two colds, one when she was a month and another this last week. In the vast majority of cases a little cold is absolutely fine, they bounce back incredibly quickly. Even if she gets sick, you have all the skills you need to look after her until she's better mumma xx

My little girl caught covid at 7 weeks old ( her dad caught it off someone at work and didn’t realise and he was helping with every day to day with her and then he felt really poorly and tested and had covid- he was devastated that he had given it to her) she is now 4 months and has had a cold too she was absolutely fine with it and dealt with it really well! I was terrified when she had it but It helps there immune system and she was actually okay- just gave calpol when needed and Vicks! If people are very ill I will avoid seeing them but sometimes you can’t always stop it and when they go to nursery they will pick up a lot of bugs etc! Its so normal to feel like that though you just worry incase they’re really poorly with it x
