We cut out the bottle before bed before she turned 1. She eats a lot of solids at dinner though
Mine loves his milk before bed and my peds just told me to wean him off, and I don't know if I want to 😣😖 he currently drinks 3 bottles a day... morning, before nap, and at bedtime at 7. He drinks around 5-8oz/bottle. Not sure where to begin with the weaning process, as it's such a comforting part of his routine
We stuck with her same routine but I did offer water in place of milk. She still takes a paci overnight though. I would just start reducing the amount of milk in the bottle before bed and hopefully they will eat more solids at dinner to stay full. There is this instagram called takingcarababies that I have found helpful @lina
My son has dinner at 5pm and at 7pm he drinks 9oz of milk in a straw cup then shower, brush teeth and sleep!
She drinks like 10oz
My boys 15 months has milk when wakes 5am then with his cereal he’ll have about 2oz in a sippy cup at around 7/7.30am lunch 1pm then dinner 5.30-6.30 bed 7.30/8pm with a 8oz bottle. Health visitor and our consultant has told us to not wean him off bedtime bottle until he makes it clear he doesn’t want it xx
@Ree We are on pretty much an identical bottle schedule and I’m also lost as to when/what to change. My lil girl doesn’t always eat her solids as well as she should and the bottle is guaranteed nourishment as well as comfort.
Bedtime bottle is the only time my son takes in milk, he takes 9 oz along with his medicine. I've cut the nap time bottle. He's not a fan of milk any other time of day no matter the temperature or if it's cup or bottle🤷♀️
We weaned from the bottle right at a year. It was pretty easy, we replaced it with water in a sippy cup and he didn’t seem to care whether he had it or not so we took it away lol he usually eats supper between 4-5pm and goes to sleep at 7. If he doesn’t eat, he gets a pediasure in a sippy cup in the bath before bed so he gets his nutrition
@Ree we’re in the same boat! Went to her 15 month check up and were told to stop but I don’t know where to start either.
My LO is still on bottles she gets a 9 ounce bottle at 6 and then if she really wants more another 3 at 7. And I put her down at 7:30
