Croup
Think my little one has croup🥲
My 2 year old has just overcome it for the last 5 days, tried to distance them but it’s impossible.
Feeling quite anxious about my younger one tho as she’s only just turned 5 months today and we’re right at the start of it, again..
I’m not 100% as she’s not coughing much at all.. but she is coldy and I know that’s how it starts.
Any advice on croup with a little one??

If your little one starts to breathe with noise or is desperate for breath go to hospital or call ambulance. I called 111 when my little one had it, but at hospital she was breathing normal and they sent me home. She had it very mild and it was gone quickly 🙂
My little girl is the same. Last night she was struggling to breathe especially when I was BF. She’s all bunged up with a stuffy nose too. I’m using nose frida and the saline spray but her cough is not shifting. Hoping to get her seen by the GP this morning
I rang my doctors and they gave me an appointment instantly, hopefully be prescribed the steroids x
Ahh amazing, I have one booked for my baby in the afternoon. Hoping they prescribe her the same fingers cross! It’s awful seeing your baby struggle! Hope your little one gets well soon x
They give steroids only when it's really bad croup, that's what they said to me in hospital. They said they don't want to give it too quick as it's only 1 dose allowed, so if they get worst after that, there is nothing they can do 🙂
I was told the same today by my GP. She doesn’t think it’s croup but my little girl cough is so bad. I don’t even know what to give her to sooth her 😢
