Has anyone requested stress leave before mat leave?
Currently experiencing stressful work days, and started measuring blood pressure at home. It’s been elevated, probably due to stress, and I’m now worried. In my previous pregnancy I was induced with high blood pressure (only at the end). Has anyone been given stress leave due to elevated blood pressure?

I didn’t ask I told them I was going on leave early. I was having health issues and one thing that made it worse was stress and strenuous activity. I told them I needed to be on bedrest (not technically doctor appointed) and wasn’t coming back the next day. That day I left and didn’t come back no questions asked
I suppose it depends on your company’s policy. If I took sick leave (pregnancy related - which they could claim your blood pressure is) after 28 weeks it would have automatically started my maternity leave
I do need to look it up, I reside in Ontario, Canada.
