We donāt know what we are having but been a bit stuck on our girls list. We already have a girl, Isla. We are trying out Elsie which I think is really sweet and compliments well but a bit worried itās still got connotations of someone very old and wondering how it fits as a name when in your teens/adulthood. We like that they are both short/vowel names but different sounds and Scottish heritage. Also like the nicknames -Elle/Eli. Any other suggestions welcome to go with Isla too. Our other top pick is more traditional Charlotte/Lottie. Otherwise quite stuck!

we are going with the name Elsie for our third girl absolutely love it and think itās such a pretty name š©· currently have an Eliza & Myla

Weāre going with Elsie! Itās a lovely name. Our grannies were Elsie and June so ours will be Elsie June - very old fashioned but names that last the test of time!

I love the traditional āold fashionedā names. I teach a few Elsieās too so itās definitely becoming more popular again. Charlotte is more obvious but beautiful.

Elsie is a gorgeous cutie name š„°

We have this name on our list too š my dads auntie was Elise xx
Thanks all - so lovely to hear others like it too and itās not too uncommon/aged. I am a fan of traditional names. Also quite like Eliza but husband is less keen but likes Elsie. Charlotte is definitely a nice classic choice and always liked it but while Elsie seems to be getting more popular again, is still less popular than Charlotte. For now Elsie is sitting at the top of the list and looks like there will be a few girls called that in the new year š©·
