How do you juggle baby, bags, pram and dog etc with the car?

Have you ever left your baby in the car whilst you take things into your house? I’m looking after a friends dog but even without the dog sometimes I feel like I have so much stuff in my hands. Or do you leave your baby in the house alone and take the pram and bags to the car first?

I typically leave baby in her car seat by herself. it doesn't take long to get bags and things inside.

I would rather bring the baby fully inside and put him in his crib or something before everything else. He is okay to self-entertain for 15 mins or so and I know he won’t hurt himself (or god forbid be taken which is one of my most irrational (or maybe rational) fears)

One of my friends got into trouble for leaving her daughter in the car whilst taking the shopping inside when she was a baby, so I wouldn't do it if I were you. Just take her inside first as it is safer.

If my kids are asleep I leave them in the car while I empty the car, if they are awake I put them in the house first. If I have just my twins and they are awake I'll leave them in the car otherwise they make a run for it🤣 if I have just baby I'll put him in the house because my partner will be home with my other kids, but if he's asleep I leave him u til I've finished because he always wakes when he's moved from car to house

This is something I’ve never thought about…I don’t drive so prior to having my baby I would walk the the supermarket and then a get a taxi back home with the shopping. I haven’t done a big shop yet with my baby. But once my partner goes back to work I’m going to have to. Im obviously not going to leave my baby alone in the taxi with a stranger so I’d have to take him inside first. But I never even thought about it…

I take the baby inside first and leave him somewhere safe then go back and get the rest. Or I fill the pram up with the shopping and carry the baby inside first while pushing the pram.

Next question. To all those who said they leave baby in the car - I hope you lock your car whilst you are indoors with the shopping?

I’ve had to in the past leave him crying on the floor whilst I go and grab the pram etc but he’s better once he’s in his car seat so I’d prefer to do that. I worry so much about all the things that could go wrong. 😑
