Has anyone come across their favorite diaper rash cream yet? My son has been struggling with diarrhea since Monday and we had been managing it well. During one of his long stretches last night he silently pooped and when I changed him his butt was bright red. I had been caking on extra strength desitin but it’s not helping much now.

Aquaphor by far!

I try to avoid putting anything petroleum based. Weleda Calendula Cream has been the best natural one I’ve found.

A&D is amazing!

Boudreaux butt paste!! My pediatrician says any cream will work as long as it is at least 40% zinc oxide and fragrance free. Apply every time you change him with a thick coating (like you’re applying frosting lol) to shield the skin from any moisture while the skin underneath heals. It worked great for my daughter!

We use petroleum. They used it in the hospital and instructed us to put it in his diaper instead of on him, he has l not had a rash yet. We use a little bit each time so his skin doesn’t rub against the wet or dry diaper

today agree avoid petroleum based products

Destint is good

Earth Mama diaper cream works really well for my baby when she gets a flare up. If it's really bad I'll use Bourdeux.
