Ive never heard of antibiotics for chicken pox? Its viral not not bacterial so it wouldnt treat it

My son had chickenpox in early October; he wasn’t prescribed anything as it’s viral - has the GP said why they prescribed antibiotics?

We made sure we kept his skin well moisturised and used calamine lotion on the spots/blisters which helped to dry them up. The first 48 hours were hardest then his temperature was back to normal. Keeping him away from others and not being able to do normal activities was also hard as he felt quite well but was contagious.

he’s on antibiotics as his throat was swollen and he’s has bronchialitis twice within the month so I think precautionary!

He’s luckily not had a temperature but I’ve been giving calpol as he’s under the weather and hot even without the temperature. The antibiotics is as his throat is swollen and he’s has a history of breathing problems so I think it’s precautionary! My baby is better mood wise so it’s just finding things for him to do in the house, did you go out to a park or anywhere for a walk just so you could get out?
