Urgent childcare recommendations

I need to arrange my little one to attend nursery asap following separation from her father. I have obtained the code for some of the funded hours and would like some advice on any nurseries you use in the south Manchester area? Any recommendations?
Whalley range / Chorlton / old Trafford / didsbury. If close by to public transport link then great as I do not have a car. Thanks in advance x

We struggled to get into a nursery, my girl goes to a childminders and loves it x

is it a registered child minder? Just wondering if it’s worth exploring with the funded hours

Yes, it was much more convenient for us for her to go to a childminders at the time she hadn't even learnt to self settle and one nursery rejected her because of that x

If you’re happy to use a new nursery (eg one that’s recently opened) then you should be able to get a spot ok. For example bridgewater nursery in altrincham has recently opened (that might be too far for you though).

There is kids planet x

We’ve gone with honeybear in Whalley range but not sure on availability. I’ve been using my time crèche in chorlton for ad hoc and they take free hours/tax free childcare x

I have a tour booked with honey bear. How do you find their service x

Haven’t started yet - he starts in Jan with some intro days in December. Actually going tomorrow for another walk around as I went when I was pregnant and now can’t remember anything that was said, plus I’ve got a few different questions now he’s actually here. I don’t like the fact I’ve not had anything in writing (tbh I haven asked for it though apart from fees, which they seem to want to discuss in person - bizarre. They seem to just be chill about everything and I seem to have to chase some things - hoping to get some clarity tomo but I got a really good vibe about the kids and staff when we went to look around and ultimately that’s what sold it for me.

I also use Honeybear and think they're great 😊

how do you find my time? I’ve just looked at their website too must have completely missed this the first time x

Really nice - you take all your stuff with you so you control food etc. but the staff are lovely, kids there when I was there seemed happy. Each time I’ve collected my little one has been happy too x

She's nearly 17 months now. She started there at 10 months
