Has anyone got any recommendations for where to buy reasonable nursing clothes and what I realistically need?
Can’t afford a whole new wardrobe and I don’t want to spend loads incase breast feeding isn’t successful.
Any advice appreciated!

So far I’ve got some bras and vests (to wear under jumpers etc seeing as it’ll be winter) from https://www.vertbaudet.co.uk/ as they’ve got a sale on; a top from H&M which I already wear as it’s so comfortable lol; and some pyjamas with nursing access. I figure it’s enough to get me through the first wave if we are successful with feeding without spending too much.
Edit to add - Vinted is great for it too because so many women are in the same position. Just put the condition filter on your preferences! X

Honestly Temu and SHEIN, I struggled so bad to find shops etc that catered for maternity and after clothing, but these two have an amazing range, the clothes are super comfy and some amazing designs to help with breastfeeding and cheap! And if breastfeeding doesn’t work you can still wear them as they don’t look like breastfeeding clothes xx

I’ve been thinking about this recently. I don’t really wanna buy a whole load of new clothes either. So I’m planning on getting a pack of breastfeeding bras and breastfeeding vests. That way if I’m out I can still breastfeed without showing any skin/getting cold. Just found some packs on Amazon tbh! They’re fairly cheap & look decent enough!

Breastfeeding vests. I just wore them under my normal tops last time. Lift your top up, vest flap down, and you're well covered.
I know everyone is different but I was back into my normal tops with a week last time.
I hate that so many nursing clothes are maternity too! Huge and baggy.
As someone else has said, Temu and Shein have a few nice things, but the quality is hit and miss. I bought nursing dresses, with side zips, but they were too high up to get my boob out 🙈

Vinted - as others have said get some vests (I like the h&m ones) and then most things can be adapted.
Definitely worth buying specific nursing bras.
I'd say 3 pack of vests, couple of nursing bras, and maybe (given due date) a jumper/hoodie with zip access so you can stay cosy whilst feeding out and about

I just wear non nursing clothes but buy a bigger size, have a loose top/t shirt with a vest top underneath and do the ‘one up, one down’ thing. I’ve invested in what I hope are good quality nursing bras this time though, from HotMilk.. they’ve 30% off until tomorrow. Wouldn’t usually spend as much on bras but from previous experience I found cheaper ones to be uncomfortable and didn’t wash well

@Clare the hot milk bras are lovely, just watch out for the magnetic clips. I've nipped my skin waaay too many times! 🙈

noted! Hoping they’re worth the money 🤞🏻

Shein is great for nursing clothes. I just got a ton of lovely dresses, T-shirts, hoodies, loungewear sets etc

I nursed for over 2 years and never bought specific clothing other than the bras.
I either lift my top or wear something with buttons. I’ve always thought nursing and maternity friendly clothing were really limited in style and can be super expensive. You definitely don’t ‘need’ to buy the specific clothing :)

H&M is good, but also you can just stick a strappy vest under clothes to keep your tummy warm when nursing in cold weather. Nursing clothes are great, but you can honestly get away with normal clothes much of the time as long as you can pop one out 😂😁 As above, I nursed for over 2 years xx

I got a few milky tees off vinted.

Amazing thanks so much ladies! I’ll just get a few vests off Vinted and a decent bra to get started!
