We only used a thick padded pramsuit once and that was outside watching the fireworks. I'm trying to layer up and get some wear out of coats before resorting to pramsuit, as I feel that will become a regular in a few weeks time as the temp drops! X

I’ve been doing coat in the pram with foot muff and pram suit when in the baby carrier. Will do pram suit in the pram when/if the temperature really drops x

Hi yes I have read that before…but I don’t have a coat that fits over it. I’ve used blankets before tucked in but when trying to look after my toddler too the blanket just gets in the way when I bend over etc. So this works for us, and I make sure she isn’t wearing too many layers underneath. When I go to forest school with my son for 2 hours on a cold morning I feel like my lil gal needs the extra warmth, and most of the other mums there are doing the same! I sometimes think the guidelines are over cautious (as they should be), and you’d be constantly checking the baby anyway in a carrier so you’d know if they were overheating. But I understand why you’d comment, thank you! X

as long as you’re checking baby! I think it’s worth bearing in mind that you don’t always get a great fit with them on as they’re so padded, same as why they’re not recommended for car seats. I’ve seen a lot of people baby wearing with pram suits too, just thought it best to provide the correct info ☺️ I have a maternity coat with an extra panel that you can zip in which I’ve found perfect for baby wearing x

completely agree re the car - we never wear pram suit or coat in the car as I know there’s safety issues there 👍 xx
