23 year old isn’t making the BIG Leap.

My daughter has basically moved out. She has been gone for nearly 5 or 6 months. Coming to visit. But, doesn’t SAY she has moved out … has even gone so far as to say no, I’m not moving out👀. What gives? One foot in and one foot out … She is 23 years old. Honestly she is my first and I’m not finding it easy to hear my husband and MOM talking about just packing up her stuff and making it into his office. It’s pissing me off with both of them😡🤬! We live in California and to live here is hard. What would you do?

We let our kids go when they were ready. But we made sure to tell them they are always welcome back if it gets to hard, all roads lead back to home.

Does it matter? I ask this genuinely, and with kindness.

She lived there for years, and you provided a space for her, presumably covering the expenses for that. Your husband had a place to work that wasn’t her room.

Most people in their 20s these days find they need to return home once or twice because of the economy. It sounds like she knows this and wants to ensure she has a safe place to return to.
