Does anyone else feel like the Christmas isn’t what it used to be when we were younger, it was always about family time, now it feels like the Christmas tree are all over my instagram already and some are looking overly insane with these sticks hanging out, I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I would always want a tree decorated with just bubbles by my child and me, and enjoy the Christmas as a family, but if anyone else is struggling with the Christmas expectation please share your thoughts, not sure if I’m the only one right now struggling with the expectations right now.

Couldn’t agree more. We’re going to try and re live our childhood Christmas’ and hope we can bring some of the magic back! I think as adults it becomes all about buying people’s presents and stressing about logistics and pleasing everyone’s family, so this year we’re going to build ginger bread houses, and make decorations and write our friends Christmas cards and hope acting less ‘adult’ and worrying about buying gifts for people may make it all feel more magic and enjoyable 😁

I have told all of the family members and friends that this year we aren’t doing any gifts and we are just going to spend all the time and money on baby and make it aa magical as possible and try to take him to different places with Santa and family, so more quality time as a family, rather than buying gifts

Christmas is what you make it 🤷🏼♀️

I’m with you on that! ✨

I’m sure when I was younger, Christmas didn’t start until December. Now it seems like as soon as Halloween is over, EVERYTHING is Christmas mad, which (for me) dulls down the excitement of Christmas when it’s actually Christmas Day. I feel too much expectation is on Christmas itself, so I have to try and not let the pressure of a perfect Christmas get to me and just make it a happy time for my family with family traditions and baking cookies, etc. 😊

There's a pod coming up called the mental burned of the holidays.

I swear it’s getting worst every year! Folks had trees up in July! Costco moved the Halloween decorations to the back before October even arrived to make room for christmas trees. Its boring me now!!!

I put mine up November 10th because it’s my sons first Christmas. Sure people had things to say with it being up that early but I shut them up when I showed videos of him smiling at the lights

I understand the pressure but you get to decide what Christmas looks like for your family. My son is only one but I really want to move away from the idea of Christmas being about how much stuff you have. We’ll be doing the “something to read, something to wear…” thing and like you I really want to highlight the value of experiences and spending time together.

Yup!! I never hate Christmas until I become an adults. It’s got overdoing or overwhelm this whole Christmas thing. It’s dosesnt feel same as before.

My tree hasn’t changed since I was born 😂 Multi-coloured tinsels, mix-matched baubles, multi-coloured lights and lametta. It’s beautifully chaotic and I wouldn’t have it any other way❤️

Girl what, are you entering some kind of decorating competition? Otherwise- who is EXPECTING anything of your Christmas except those family who walk through your front door on the 25th?? Stop looking at random insta girl christmasess- no one cares what anyone’s holidays look like, except people directly involved!❤️❤️💚💚🤍🤍

Don't compare to people on Insta. Ignore it. Perhaps take a break un install the app.
I won't be decorating for Christmas. Do what you want to do.
