UC review whilst on maternity leave bank statements
Hi. So a little worried I’m currently claiming UC single parent and maternity. Recently had a boy who is currently 6 months old and I’ve been asked for 4 months bank statements etc. now my partner (we do not live together he has to be there to support his mum with his disabled dad) I pay all the bills etc hence claiming single parent. The only help I do get from him is when he sends me any money I might need for my little boy. He’s sent 10s 20s 50s when I’ve needed it for cots clothes etc so it’s basically like CSA which I know doesn’t affect UC. But I’m worried they’re gonna think because he’s sending me money I’m committing fraud when I’m not? Am I over thinking?😂

@Sarah nothing is here if his at all aside from deodorants and tooth brush for when he stays here at weekends but that’s about it! His letters etc are registered at his own address so yea can’t see any problems in just over thinking 😂 thank you xxx

They will be able to do checks, they may come out and check your property to see if any of his belongings are there. Or if any of his mail gets delivered to your address. But as long as you explain this to them there shouldn’t be an issue xxxx
