Swaddles (not blankets)

Can anyone recommended 2.5 tog swaddles? I see they can be pretty expensive and not sure on sizing.

I used happiest baby (5 second swaddle) with my first and my God they were a god send!! They can be pricey but they're sometimes on offer online or they sell for around £5 on vinted. Most swaddles go on weight other than age, they're usually from 7lb x

I had some of these but never understand what tog they were meant to be or how to dress baby underneath it as they seem quite a thin tog

same😬 I usually just went with a 1tog rating and kept on checking throughout the night

I’ve bought swaddles off Vinted to try this time round as with last baby we had the cutest sleep bag style but can’t find anything similar this time but midwife wasn’t keen on the idea of me using swaddles although this is my 5th.

We’re going to use the Love to Dream Swaddle Up. Not strictly a swaddle, more like a sleeping bag but arms are in and it’s stretchy to allow for that startle reflex. It was fab with our first and you can buy cold, cool, mild or warm - goes off the temperature rather than tog but I would say a cool one is equivalent to 2.5 as that’s for temps between 16-20 degrees x

We’ve got some of the Purflo swaddle to sleep bags as they can be arms in / out and also means we don’t have to actively learn how to swaddle! https://purflo.com/swaddle-bag/
