Ended up calling an ambulance for our daughter last night as she was struggling to breathe properly and had a high temp. She’s been congested/ had a little cough the last couple days (her 3 year old brother has a chest infection also, on antibiotics this week).. last night around 9pm everything just seemed to start to get worse so I went with my gut (my husband wasn’t so sure…why are men soo laid back about everything ?? )
They think it’s viral, particularly bronchiolitis/rsv. She’s had fluids, bloods, antibiotics etc etc, and has spent the night on a optiflow machine to help her get some more oxygen.
Just wanted to put this out there, if in doubt, go with your gut mums, cause I just knew. 🥺

Wish your LO a very speedy recovery, great that you trusted your gut 🙏 xxx my partner is the same (laid back) and I worry I wouldn't trust my gut instinct as I'm always a worrier. Would you mind sharing the symptoms and how they got worse?

sorry I’m so late to this. She was just generally under the weather, sleepy, wanted to feed lots and whingey, slight runny nose and you could tell she just felt bad. Then one evening just so quickly her breathing was awful and not settling no matter if she was trying to chill, feed or be awake and I went into panic mode and had to call an ambulance and thank god I did xx
