@Natalie He has other kids, But he lives with me and our bby. He pays for daycare 50% and myself as well.
Sounds like you should file with her. Very reasonable.
I guess it depends on trust. A lot of ppl have issues around tax season but if you can trust him I don’t see the issue. Clearly he’s responsible enough as if taking care of his kids outside the home and in(as some men don’t even do that unfortunately) but We decided if we’re both equally taking care of my LO throughout the year no complains then we’ll rotate sharing who claiming our child and to see who gets more, with this economy for us it’s the smarter thing to do, people are hesitant when money involved but I’ve seen that happen when there partner can’t be trusted tho so I don’t see why it’s a non negotiable topic. Is he changing diapers, bathing ur little one, paying bills and cleaning too? That’s what 50/50 to me and that’s why we rotate since the parenting responsibilities shared all the way even misc task/chores
If he's paying more financially, I think it's fair for him to claim it
Chile, if he has other kids, let him file his other kids and you file your baby. Case closed. Idc if y’all live together, he takes care of your baby 50/50. He has other kids that he can file. Simple. If he gets mad, he can simply take up with his other kids mom.
If he helps more than 50% financially then he should file with her.
