Maybe it's a cultural thing but my baby has worn baby cologne since they were about 5 mths old. We put it on their clothes though at the shoulder and on the back.

Probably middle school. Like for his first middle school dance probably!

middle school age, that's when they start developing more body oder

My son is 5 years old and sometimes when he see his dad and I put perfume/cologne , he’d ask or say he want some too. So, my husband or I would spray it on him 1 time.

Not sure maybe 13 I’m not too much into wearing perfume myself though . I forget to and it’s not a huge deal for me to have it on though I do like how people smell when they do

My boys have always been super interested in cologne since they see daddy use it before he goes out so we bought a natural mens cologne and use on them so they feel included. They love it always come up to me and say “mama smell me! I’m just like daddy now!” I think it’s adorable.

Lmaoooo I buy them their own bottles of cologne every school shopping since puberty hit and body spray in between. I have boys and their natural scent is horrendous once they hit 11/12 ish. My younger one loses them all/forgets. My oldest is in high school and always smells of cologne aside from after football. So even if you buy it it’s the individual kid’s choice to wear in my house.

I sometimes spray myself with rose water and my 3 year old asks for some 🤷‍♀️ she sometimes wants the lilac scented spray too because she wants to “smell like a garden”

@Chris I wanted the baby cologne so bad but they don’t sell it in Canada.

My kids are already trying to spray perfume on their clothes and I don’t mind (4.5 years old). No scents are allowed at school though.

I do worry a bit about toxins so I think fragrance use in moderation is important. I wouldn’t allow perfume until middle school and I will teach them how to properly apply it. I think we all remember the boys who sprayed too much axe and the girls who spritzed way too much bath and body works. 😷

Once they start smelling, like year 7 (12/13ish). Just more things to irritate young skin tbh. Even I don’t wear it much anymore as it can be overpowering.

My brother got my kids Disney perfume and cologne when he went to Disneyland lol. My sons is Mickey and my daughters is Frozen. It’s really just for fun and I’ll spray a little spritz on them for a holiday or fun event.

@Zainab🗝️ i love it! We use the para mi bebe brand. The blue and the yellow bottle 👌🏾👌🏾 the lavender is always sold out when we need to re-up and I don't like to have more than one bottle for her because it's a big bottle! Jafra smells really good too. A friend of mine uses that one for her son and he's like a year old.

Probably whenever they start having body odor or wearing deodorant

Perfumes are quite bad for you as most are full of phthalates and endocrine disruptors, there’s already more than enough in shampoos and deodorants etc. I don’t want myself or my kids doused in any extra so I’ll discourage it as long as I can

Oh, my two and three year Olds love it when we we spray them with cologne or body sprays. They see us doing it, so they want some. We just spray their clothes

One teen likes to wear only deodorant. The other likes to wear body mists so they are lighter smelling than perfume. But I say around 16 if they wanted to. My 19yr old has JUST started getting into perfumes because that’s the one thing that older teens tend to gift each other for bdays and Xmas so she’s gained quite a collection since she was about 16. As soon as puberty and BO starts I tend to intro deodorant and a body mist rather than perfume. As for me I’m into perfume rolls these days not a traditional spray (I find the rolls smells less alcohol-y) but I get gifted a ton too lol so I have them but it’s not me that buys them.

Both my kids boy and girl ask when me and their dad put some on they want it too and they are 2 and 5

I would say middle school age but growing my mom got my brothers SpongeBob themed play "shaving" kits and it always came with a cologne so ig elementary school age is okay too but not often

My son started wearing it around 14

my kids are always playing in my makeup and perfume so i don’t have a strict set age when they can use it. just whenever they’re showing interest in it
