What's it mean When your boyfriend Says that he's starting to feel Smothered that he needs space in the relationship, but you offer him several opportunities for space, and he still invites you everywhere with him?

I think every relationship is different... and within each relationship there'll be different phases when each person has new needs. It is interesting that he still invites you everywhere but needs space... do you two live together? Maybe ask him what having space looks like for him
