Following as I’m in the same boat but section on Tuesday

Eurgh literally my worst nightmare, I had one 2 weeks ago and was determined I wouldn’t be poorly when I went in tomorrow. Still got this lingering congestion and a bit of cough but other than that ok. I think it is highly likely they will still go ahead though, there isn’t much you could have which would postpone it I don’t think. Get some saline spray, use it religiously and start OD’ing on orange juice. Goood luck mama. Once you’ve got that little one here, you’ll barely think about your cold x

They will still be able to operate if you have a cold unless you chose to push it back, with my first section turned out I had covid but they still did c section as planned x

Yes, they will operate. I was told during the lockdowns with baby 1, even Covid wouldn’t stop theatre. Just tell them you feel a bit rough, so they can help you a bit extra after surgery with stuff for a cold. But the drugs are great so you’ll probably feel better anyway! Good luck xx
