It’s happened several times 😅 when we first started dating up until we got married we had roommates so we’d put FMA:B on the tv to block out sounds (we all knew, we were 3 couples sharing my house, we just didn’t wanna hear each other’s antics) and many times our ears zoomed in on something we heard like “wtf did they just say”, bust out laughing, then move on and continue what we were doing 🤷♀️

Me and my s/o have both done this.. honestly it’s not a big deal. I guess it just depends on your relationship and how close/comfortable you are with each other 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ but you can’t really help what your ears pick up on. I don’t think it means you’re distracted. But if it’s that big of a deal to you it sounds like you shouldn’t have the tv on.

It depends on how long you’ve been together. My husband has never done anything like that, but we’ve been together 7 years so I’d probably just tease him about it if he did. But if it’s a newer relationship it’s a bit odd to not give your partner your full attention.
