Did pre-E make you question having another baby?

I've been thinking about this today. I'm almost 3 weeks post-partum. Ended up having an emergency C-section at 36+1 due to baby girl being growth restricted and the pre-e getting real bad. I am concerned that my next pregnancy will be as horrible as this one was, but I'm going to have hope that it will be better 🤞🏻

Yes, I had a mild case at 31-32weeks after getting the flu. I also had GD at 28 weeks. Even tho I was doing good with the GD no insulin until 35 weeks. But I think mines is related to age I will be 31 and I’m also 250lbs. I think if I was at a healthier weight, exercise and kept my salt intake a lower level then I might have been okay. I also didn’t take my aspirin how I should have. Sometimes I wouldn’t take it for days. I had IGUR with my daughter. With my current son I had the pre E and had emergency c section. They thought he was almost 9kbs he was born 6lbs 5oz

I feel the exact same. My pre-e went from mild to severe in the space of a week and it started to develop into HELLP so I had an emergency csection at 32 weeks...I'm petrified of that happening again.

I get that 100%. I had early onset severe pre-e with my son 3 years ago. My husband was ready to try for #2 after about 1.5 years. We waited primarily because I wasn't ready! I got pregnant after about 2.5 years. My daughter was born on Halloween at 38 weeks. I did develop high blood pressures but not full blown pre-e right towards the end and was induced. She is happy and healthy and my recovery this time has been much eaiser.

I understand, I had severe PreE that made me almost stroke out at 29 weeks so I had to deliver. I thought about it hard and my husband and I decided we didn't want our daughter to be alone so we tried again. We started trying again at 18 month post partum and after a year we got pregnant with twins! I had no PreE or signs and made it to 33 weeks with them. I took aspirin, watched what I ate and had a good pregnancy

Had my first child at 30 weeks due to Pre-e and HELLP. I booked a consultant appointment before trying for a second and am now 33 weeks. Highly monitored and highly medicated 🙈. BP is rising up a bit again but I feel in control with labetalol and know all the signs and monitor my BP at home. It’s deffo scary but very different the second time round with the knowledge we now have and also being classed as high risk you are almost fast tracked by triage if you have any concerns so less scary that something will be missed 🥰
