The most fertile days are two days before ovulation. Ovulation itself is slightly less likely to be successful and the day after is even less likely.

Thank you. This is so annoying for me as my tests never seem to build so I can predict. They go from nothing to positive!!

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and have just looked back at my log/chart. Looks like i conceived the day before ovulation (day of peak LH test) as that is the only time we bd that cycle.

I think it’s a bit of luck too though as I have conceived on different cycle days in the past (have had 3 early losses). I’ve had cycles where we’ve bd every day, every other day etc and haven’t had a positive test that cycle so try not to put too much pressure on it x

Rapid surges of LH (which is what ovulation predictor kits track) are very common. Are your cycles regular? Do you usually ovulate on the same day each month? I usually ovulate on day 13 so I try and do every other day from day 9 to capture the fertile window. This is why doctor’s recommend having sex every other day throughout your whole cycle so you don’t miss the fertile window - but I’m too old and tired for that 😂

We had sex once this cycle, 3 days before ovulation. Just got my BFP this morning. It's best to prioritise having sex pre-ovulation so there's sperm ready and waiting for the egg. From what I've read (which may or may not be accurate) within 3 days of ovulation is best.
