Visiting MAU?

Hi ladies…

I’m 25 weeks with an anterior placenta so I know movement isn’t felt as often as others.

But the past week or so baby has been having a dance party when I’m trying to get to sleep every night but it didn’t do it last night and I’ve only felt a few movements this morning.

Typically during the day I don’t feel much cause I’m working

Am I too early to go to MAU?

I am at a similar stage to you, also have an AP. Also wondering the same thing. I keep being told I need to know my baby’s normal pattern of movement so that I know when to be concerned but I’m finding even that difficult to gauge. It’s making me feel a bit overwhelmed and worried, which then probably makes it worse. I know they say not to leave it but you literally can’t be going there at night because you’ve missed one pattern of movement can you!?
Obviously FTM and just finding this whole movement thing a bit of a minefield and quite a lot of responsibility on an already stressed mumma! 😂

Call the triage line for your MAU they’ll probably ask you to come in. They’d rather see you and make sure all is ok

I'm 26 weeks with AP. My baby has active days and quiet days, so he doesn't have a pattern. Spoke to my midwife today and she said if I notice a pattern then things don't feel right go to mau there's no need to call.

Mau will prefer you to go than not go, take yourself up there and get assessed 😊

Thank you ladies… I went and got checked out. Found a good heartbeat so weren’t concerned.

Feel stupid for stressing

You shouldn’t feel stupid…at least you know all is well now! Pleased you feel calmer for it -and all is well ❤️

I’m 23+4 days pregnant and have AP. I had been feeling baby every day and then didn’t feel anything for 2 days. I rang PAU just for advice as I knew I was early to be concerned about movement especially with AP. They told me to go in and checked heartbeat anyway. They also said it’s best to ring to get checked out if anything at all changes in movement 😊 x

2 of my friends don’t believe their baby had a pattern of movements so if yours doesn’t take as many trips to triage as you need! Don’t sit and feel stressed its a horrible feeling! I had a morning where my baby didn’t move much and triage said they may have been having a grow day. Still so glad i went!
