Does ur 18mo eat the kids tooth paste when u brush their teeth?

Well technically yes because they don’t know how to spit at that age. Should put no more toothpaste than the size of a grain of rice.

When I started brushing my son's teeth he didn't .

Yes I posted about this! Someone recommended that I push the toothpaste deeper into the bristles so that it actually gets used on his teeth vs swallowed the first 2 seconds. But baby toothpaste is made to bed edible so it’s not doing any harm!

My kids dentist said not to expect them to effectively spit out toothpaste until around age 5

I was worried about this then found Jack&Jill toothpaste and feel better about baby not being able to spit it out.
