Anyone else’s child benefit request taking ages?? I applied in late October, a couple weeks after my baby was born. It said not to expect a reply until December, so now I’ve checked again, and it’s now saying February 2025?🥲

We applied mid October and got a reply a few days later, first payment first week of November
We applied at the start of November and got the first payment beginning of this month
I did mine in early/mid November, it said the wait was a few weeks. Then the website also told me I’d be waiting until Feb 2025.
But then I got my first payment about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully yours won’t be too long!
i have a 10 week old (almost 11) I applied early oct and got a response back within 2 weeks and payment straight away. I think Monday I will receive my 3rd payment
Call the helpline they will be able to advise and sometimes will put your claim through there and then for you while on the phone!
I’m similar to you. I applied September and have not heard anything yet
I applied and got it within 2 weeks! Maybe because I have other children so already have my details 🤔 not sure… give them a ring xx
