I’m curious to see if anyone has a child who is 1/8 black. I’m 1/4 Nigerian, 1/4 Irish and 1/2 English. My partner is 100% English and we are due a baby girl in March. I keep wondering whether she’ll look white or if she will have any African mixed features even though she’s practically white. I’m one of 9 children and we all look so different in terms of skin, eye colour etc so I know genetics can be crazy.

This is definitely not the same but I’m 1/4 Korean and the rest just white. My husband is half white and half Hispanic. So our kids are 1/8 Korean. They most definitely look very white. But like their eyes and when they wake up they can look very Asian or like my dad when he was a baby. So even though they are barely Asian, they still have features so I assume that’s probably what your kids look like. It could be the hair. It could be the eyes could be other facial features. Something that looks like a family member that is black.

i'm half black caribbean half white english/irish and i have 2 kids with my white welsh husband! they're quite fair but my eldest has got really curly hair now and looks quite like me when i was little!

I’m 1/2 Montserratian and 1/2 Scottish, my husband is 1/2 Lithuanian and 1/2 Russian. He’s somehow convinced our son will come out a little tanned but idk what planet he fell off😂 I don’t have any black features and I’m the palest out of me and my siblings. I guess we’ll see when he comes out next month!

My partner is 3/4 Caribbean I’m 100% white british have been fully expecting a mini version of him especially as it’s a boy 🥰 but started to realise lately there’s no way to know what the baby will look like it will just be a surprise 🥳 my partner said he will definitely have a big forehead though as apparently we both do ? So that’s one thing we know I guess 🤦♀️

I think my son is going to get my big forehead and my husbands big nose 😂 poor boy

😂 long noses and big foreheads will be in fashion by the time your little one is dating they will be thanking us when their friends are getting nose extensions and using big forehead filter and they don’t need to 🙃🙃

hahaha here’s to hoping!

My partner is 1/4 Jamaican I’m full English, his daughter my stepdaughter is completely white and has slightly curly hair so expecting our baby girl to be the same x

She will just look white ngl anything after a 1/4 isn’t gonna do anything

Your child is going to look white as 7/8 of their dna is English and Irish. There maybe something that comes through but the your child is going to look like his side and your Irish and English side.

Most likely going to be whiter as they’re more white than anything

My newborn is more white than black - I’m mixed race (white British/black Caribbean) and my partner is white, so our daughter is paler than me and her eyes are grey/blue at 10 weeks. I know eye colour can change so still not sure what they’ll be. She definitely has some black features like my nose and face shape. I also think her hair might change to wavy as she grows x
