Hiccups

Hii everyone! I’m not sure if this is something to be concerned about.. so starting yesterday my son has been getting the hiccups a lot the one times was after eating which I thought was normal then was as soon as he woke up from his nap which kinda made me think a little bit and now this morning after he had woken up again.. is this something to be concerned about?? To add I have changed the way he’s laying he’s now in a sitting position to eat, and I pull his bottle out more to stop him from chugging his bottle to fast please help lol

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about I think it's tightness in their diaphragm that they usually grow out of? My LO sometime gets them a couple times of day and they go away quick. Maybe try pace feeding ?

My baby constantly has the hiccups especially if she doesn’t get a good burp out after a feeding. I don’t think you need to be concerned. My husband and I joke that if she’s having a fussy day and gets the hiccups it’s actually a nice break because it’s hard to cry and hiccup LOL.

I think it may be caused from struggle to burp! This morning I burped him for almost 20 min and nothing I switched positions and everything and he actually just fell asleep! So I’m wondering if maybe that’s why? I looked it up and it said if fallen asleep you can leave them but now I worry it’s kinda my fault he’s got these hiccups all of a sudden

okay that’s good to know! We actually have been pace feeding since birth! My little guy is a chunk and will chug a bottle down in 3-5 min if you let him! We found that out while we were in the hospital! I’ve gotten him to stretch it to 10-11min but I can’t seem to get him to stretch more then that

oh yes haha! He was born a chunk! Off the bat at 80ml and at one month ate 3oz and a month and a half was having 4oz he was basically 11lbs when he was born lol

that’s ok, hiccups are not a huge deal so no reason to feel it’s your fault. I know it looks like it’s a struggle for them but it’s just normal.
