How do you guys feel about the 50/50 I can’t make the mortgage this month prank?
I keep seeing comments and it looks like people are BIG MAD about it.
Do you find it distasteful?

I think some people read too much into it. It’s obvious that their partners hold bills as their responsibility and it’s their norm. At least from the ones I’ve seen

I'm all for a good prank.

I don’t understand its purpose. Pranks are meant to be funny.

Why do people think pranks that purposely create negative emotions in others are funny…..this is funny.

I swear people forgot that pranks were originally meant to be funny for all involved— not a one sided “hahaha I got you” and now the other person is feeling negative and shity emotions just to make you smile for a few seconds.

My parents and I do pranks but not shit like this. Why? And how does both sides find this to be amusing?

I think people are just a bit sensitive over this because there's a lot of people going through hard times and probably are struggling to pay their mortgage

I’ve only seen funny ones, where the partner obviously pays all the bills anyway and has a funny reaction like “no shit”

I don’t think it would be funny to do if you actually were supposed to pay half and joked you couldn’t

I think it’s mostly a chance for ladies to show off their provider men. And I honestly love that for them 😂👏🏼

I always say, u kno when I’m the butt of a joke…if the joke was on u it’d be a whole lot funnier

I think people are a little sensitive with how much struggling is going on right now. Personally I think they are funny, especially some of the men’s responses. I don’t pay the bills and know my Fiance would tell me I’m insane.
