Eye pussing

I noticed my daughters eye had a bit more sleep then normal earlier on in the day. I've gone to work and partner said that her eye is pussing, starting to go red and swell.

She must have something in her eye. It doesn't bother her and she's had some ibuprofen. Any advice what his to clean her eyes as its a delicate area?

Sounds like it might be conjunctivitis, my daughter has it at the moment and that’s how it started. Apparently it’s best to soak cotton wool in warm water to clean them (some have said cool boiled water), we did manage to get eye drops but don’t think GPs always prescribe them, we’ve found them almost impossible to get in any case and she gets so upset so don’t think they’re doing anything!

Could be conjunctivitis. My lo has currently got it as it has been round her room at nursery.

We saw the pharmacist and he said the drops are only licensed for children over 2 so we’d need a prescription. He told me to bathe her eyes with very dilute salt water twice a day and it should help. We’ve been doing that since Tuesday and her eyes have cleared up completely.

My son seems to suffer with a blocked tear duct whenever he gets a cold or teethes, any sort of face pressure. We go straight to cooled boiled water and I try to clean it as much as possible as he will rub it raw. You probably know but only one wipe per piece or cotton wool, from inside to outside of the eye x
