All I thought of was if a sweet cinnamony apple pie had a baby with a tomato…but that doesn’t make it sound as good as I think they are. Randomly wondering if anyone else has a description because they’re hard to describe

Like a dense autumn spiced Asian pear. Crunchy and delicious! I’ve only ever had the fuyu variety for snacking, not the bigger one used for baking. One of my favorite ways to eat them is sliced in a green salad with goat cheese and vinaigrette 😋

Just had it for the very first time today! I agree with Emma - its like the taste of a melon mixed with a mango.
But with the consistency of an overly ripe kiwi.
Ok so I’d agree with melon + mango, but I’d say also cinnamony warm flavor if that makes sense. A fall vibes mango. IMO they’re best when they’re soft but not all the way soft, very very slight soft crunch. Or just a structure to it still lol now I want to make a pie with them. One day. They’re pricey in my area though!
