Issues since swapping to cows milk...

Recently started to swap my 1 year old over to cows milk in his bottle, just started with the midday one to ease into it the morning and evening still hes usual formula which he's been fine with. Since only 2 days of introducing the cows milk my boys nappies are frequently runny, smell awful, mucusy, has developed terrible nappy rash that is so red and sore :( he is used to having whole cows milk in his breakfast since 7 months and dairy like cheese, yoghurt etc without issues but I guess the difference is in that's a smaller volume. I will contact the GP in the morning but has anyone had experience of this? / what other option is there? thanks in advance

Sometimes full bottles of cows milk can cause issues eith their tummies
My girl has a milk allergy snd the last step of the ladder is pure cows milk so we will be changing to oat milk, although soya is your best option if you'd want a milk alternative
But it may be that baby is sensitive to it being so rich and take a while to get used to did you change over a whole bottle or gradually

no I just gave a cup of cow milk (same amount as formula that I normally offer) as advised by the HV ... I feel awful that it's upset his tummy so much, I didn't realise there was a gradual process so will let his tummy settle and then try small amount mix with formula 🤞🏼xx

Some people do switch straight over and everything is fine but alot of people swap it out an oz at a time or half and half so baby can get used to it
We will be swapping an oz at a time with oat milk but I need to get her formula down a bit as due to it being prescription we would get 10 400g tins at a time and she's not a big milk drinker (5oz bottles 3 times a day and doesn't finish them) so we have about 6 tins left 🙈🤣
