How do you make mum friends?

Just seen alot of other post about making friends as mums as we all know it can get a bit lonely to say the least and to let others know they are not alone. So care to share how you all made mum friends if you have?

I’d love to know this too. I’ve been going to classes in my local area and further afield and I try making conversation with other parents but I never get anywhere 😞

@Rebecca it a shame really as everyone wants to make friends seeing how becoming a parent changes you life so much and you will have something in common and have someones advice or option who is either going through the same as you or been through it already

If you find out please tell me 🤣🙏x

@Lesley I know that's why I posted seeing if we can all help each other out seems like no one can make friends even tho they all claim they want to.

At this point I'm happy to talk to anyone or just have a group of mums to talk to

I try to put up post but get no luck or no one reply but other get loads😭

I’ve been going to the same baby class since my firstborn so just over 2 years now and not one person has ever suggested a coffee or even swapping numbers! I’ve had connections via peanut and have even met up for play dates but don’t feel that’s even come to anything as they seem to have fizzled out too quickly with conflicting schedules etc. it’s so difficult 😭

I did NCT and that helps hugely, we meet up and go on walks. but outside of that I'm going to classes. I suggested a coffee to a group, the class, via Whatsapp and one person came. They are friendly but it's not yet resulted in a new mum friend.

I’ve spent 8 months without any mum friends and it’s been tough and really lonely as I’m not living close to family or friends and can spend days not talking to anyone. I wish I had done NCT as that seems to be the way my friend made her friends and she is always out with them. We move soon so I’m hoping to try again.

@Charlie what’s NCT x

@Gemma baby classes you pay for just before baby is born, they aren’t cheap but most new mums make a good group of friends from it.
