My husband talks to me about his job and uses their jargon like I understand what tf that means. Idk why it pisses me off so much.

He should break it down. But I don't think it's something that should overly upset about.
I don't think it has anything to do with being emotional.
thanks. It might be the hormones

lol this is such a pet peeve of mine 😂 I work with criminal defense attorneys and I just wanna scream idk what the f you’re talking about.

Looking at it another way maybe he just doesn’t want to come off as condescending and making you feel stupid by ‘dumbing down’ the terminology. My husband says things I don’t understand about work and I just ask him to explain before carrying on with the story

Why do you think he does it, out of interest?

My husband is an attorney and sometimes does that. Most of the time I can keep up but when he starts throwing down Latin I just tell him hold up, clarify lol Cos I wanna know the tea I just need some help 👀

I love hearing about my bfs work and learning sbout what he does. If I don’t understand something I’ll ask him to explain it differently

In nursing school we were told not to use medical jargon with patients or to explain it because not everyone will understand and if they don't understand they can become frustrated or angry and can create a barrier between them and proper healthcare so I assume it's something like that for you?
My husband will also use his work jargon which a lot of times is numbers and I'll stop him and ask him to explain to me every time 🤣
Neither of us gets upset though, he understands that I don't know and he always explains himself so I don't mind either
haha
I think it might be the hormones honestly because in my head I feel like he’s trying to make me look stupid which I know is not true smh maybe he just thinks I’ll pick it up as he tells the story 🤷♀️

He likely just doesn't even think about it, and is so used to using them that he's just comfy talking with you and uses whatever terms are most familiar for him. Mine does it a lot and I just stop him and double check so I know what he means.
