Hey guys, I’m currently in band B temp accommodation and only eligible for a 1 bed cause my little one isn’t 3 - does anyone know if I put my sons dad on the tenancy (not as a couple) will my needs for bedrooms go up, & will I be pushed back up the que?

It def won’t make a difference
It’s usually the opposite (eg DV issues etc that add more points etc)
Oh really, would my room entitlement go up to a 2 bed instead of a 1 bed if he’s on it that’s more my concern x

Hey your bedroom entitlement won’t change if you decide to put your sons dad on your homeless application (which I’m guessing you are as your in temp) if you do decide to include him in the application then you would need to state what relation he is to you ie. Relative or partner.
This also means that if you are receiving universal credit you would also need to notify them that you are living together which means that your monthly amount that you are getting will change, if your sons dad is working then you will get less.
There is a lot of things to consider so please do think carefully before putting him on an application for an extra bedroom
I’m in the same situation too! I’m eligible for 2 bedrooms but they put me a que for one bedroom If I ask them to put me on the waiting list for 2bedroom instead onebedroom will the Que be the same? we’re very close!!!
