Feeds

Hey, how many ozs are your 5 month old having & how long are they going in-between feeds?.
Looking at formula fed babies.

My little one is on 7oz.. only going around 4 hours in-between. Will be 6 months on the 27th. There have been times he's had more ozs per feed, but still only goes 4 hours. I'm looking to do set times with his feeds to help a bit with bedtime and through out the night.
I'm just wondering what everyone else is doing 😊.

She's combi fed (expressed and formula) feeds every 3 hours roughly and has 4oz expressed first feed and last feed and has 3x 6oz formula bottles through the day

Mines still every 2 hours

8oz every 4 hours 4x a day = 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm. He doesn't feed through the night but wakes up around 4.30am for the dummy and then light sleeps till 7am

wish mine was like that 10 mins cap naps and feeds every 1 hour

4hrs in between feeds is really good I'd be surprised if even with more oz you'd get more hrs than that in-between. My little one takes anything from between 5-8oz every 3 hrs x

He has 5oz usually every 2/3 hours roughly, and 8oz at bedtime but he doesn’t always finish that one

7-8 oz every 3 hours ish.

4-5oz every 2.5-3 hours x

6 months: 5-7oz every 3-4 hours. Usually more like 5/6oz but 8oz at bedtime. Has 4 feeds during the day and one overnight.
I remember my eldest didn't go longer than 3/4 hours between feeds until he was on 3 meals a day at 7.5/8 months.

7-8oz approx 3-4 hourly and nothing overnight.

Also combi fed (boob morning and night) 4x 6oz bottles in between

Thanks, ladies. I'm not quite sure why I thought he should be going more hours in-between now he's older. You have all made me realise everything is currently fine.

I have to eat every four hours and I'm a fully grown adult 😂

circumcision

are we circumcising our boys? or leaving that to dad?

Should I be concerned or am I overthinking?

My little boy is 15 months old, he’s recently taken his first steps and he says mamma and dadda and baba (he has said these for months) we’ve filled out the paperwork for his 12-14 month review and it looks like he isn’t meeting many of his milestones.

He doesn’t copy actions, point, clap etc. He doesn’t react when being spoken to, or to his name. He actively avoids eye contact.

He was so unresponsive to sound that we just had his hearing tested concerned he was deaf. They found that he could hear so he is just choosing not to react to any noises or sounds.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with their little ones? Should I be raising this with the health visitor and ask to be assessed for neurodivergent issue or a social communication problem like autism?

I don’t want to just slap a label on him, but I do feel that there are real concerns. All opinions welcome!!

Routines?

When did you start to introduce your baby’s routine? Do they just have a night routine or full day routine? Wondering when I should start this e.g naps at the same time everyday.

Any routines you have that work for you, please let me know them with timestamps. my baby is 6 weeks and just wondering when we should start them?

Does anyone else’s baby spit up breastmilk but not formula?

I’m seriously considering seeing a lactation consultant because I don’t understand why he can’t hold down breastmilk but can formula. I use soy formula since I’ve used it with my daughter and I’m thinking it might be due to not getting milk coming in for a few days so I had no choice but to give him formula, but now even if I take breaks in between feeding him breastmilk to burp or try to mix breastmilk and formula, he spits it up sooo much. I’m ready to just give him just formula because I’m worried about him not eating enough

Reflux

I need some help my baby is 6 weeks old and recently when I try and wind him after his bottle he’s not bring any wind up and just keeps being sick, I’ve tried infacol but that doesn’t seem to be doing much.

Bed time tips for 8 week old

So I literally cannot get my 8 week down to sleep before 11:30pm every night no matter how early we start our routine. We tend to do bath every second night but every night consists of feed, up to bed, into pjs, book, feed to sleep. We could start this routine at 7 and it would still be the case of not selling til 11:30.

She doesn’t nap during the day well, we get a 30 minute in the morning, and a 1 hour in the afternoon only if I’m out the house. She’s never distressed when she’s awake all that time, quite the thing being nosey and having cuddles. She’s EBF and her feeds all through the day are LONG and last from 30-45 mins each feed.

Any tips/advice recommended on how to get to bed earlier or just how to get her to sleep in general.
