Can't stand my MIL

I'm loosing my fucking mind with my MIL, she has taken my maternity pillow that was gifted to me by a friend and given it to the dog to use she has in the past taken some of my bed sheets and given them to the dog , she is constantly taking my socks and I need to keep going and taking them back from her drawer , she was smoking in the house for the first year of my twins life's and that is only a few things i could go on forever with idiotic shit that she does. I cannot stand her at all and I'm loosing my patience with all of her shit and when I complain about it all to my partner he gets angry at me and tells me to stop getting so annoyed for getting so annoyed, he wants me to be civil at to not make things worse but im struggling bad as i seriously can't stand her one but , i am so stressed out every day and being in the same house as her is really taking a toll on my mental health , we are currently waiting on council housing and are bidding every week as we cannot afford to get something ourselves but its taking so long I don't know how much longer we are gonna have to wait and i don't know how much longer i can deal with her. Sorry for rant

I feel this because I'm in the same boat as you, I can't stand mine at all, I can't even be in the same room as my MIL any more, iv stopped all communication with her now and don't go to visit her any more, I realised I'm annoying my own self but doing nothing to change the situation, my husband doesn't really like his own mother either so it's a bit different but I understand exactly what you mean xx

It's awful isn't it , as soon as we move out I won't be going to see her at all ever , my partner doesn't like her either and same with all of his siblings she is an awful person, he just doesn't want me to make a big thing out of it as he says she won't ever change so being angry isn't gonna help which I get but it's just hard not being so annoyed by her.

Oh my god that's horrible how dare she say that and for someone say something like that to your child is absolutely disgusting, honestly i don't get how some people believe their actions are acceptable

It's true, she isn't going to change only get worser please belive me, I never seen my MIL for who she was until 14yrs in... I can't stand mine, she's 63yrs old but acts like a young girl, she's very jealous of people and very narcissistic and maniuplating

@Ellie I wish I didn't marry my husband too 😔 my MIL sees it as you've married into all the family you do as we say kind of way, it's awful..

@Natalie I mean that is just disgusting to think you can control another adult because they married your adult son. Cut the son or the parents off.
