Hi everyone,
I have a 21 months old boy who has a strong preference for his dad and I feel like he doesn’t like me at all. He tries to hit me when I am around or never lets me sleep with him or change his diaper. Has anyone been through this ? I am really hurt and don’t know what to do :( any advice ?

@MarnaNo actually he has been with me more because his dad is busy at work most of the time during the day .
He misses his dad that’s why. You should leave him with his dad for few hours a day and he’ll miss you.
He probably just misses his dad. My toddler isn’t as bad as what you described but once dad is home from work, she wants him not me.
@Melisha he doesn’t even want me around he cries when I try to play with him so I try to stay away as much as possible to respect his feelings

the fourth slide in this Tik tok could be related to your situation a bit perhaps
@Andrea yes this is exactly my situation:( i just had another one !!! Thank you this helps give me a little peace of mind
My son was the same when I was pregnant and for a little bit when the new baby came. Not quite as bad. He’d play with me and what not when dad wasn’t home. He’s gotten better over the months and looks for me more now but usually still dad. I just try to give him attention more throughout the day and put the baby down to do things with him. Now that she’s moving he even plays with her a little lol
