Has anyone experienced this with baby porridge? She’s 6 months bf and been having fruits and veggies with no problems for the past month. I used water to mix the porridge (as it said on the box). This is her straight after eating, she only had one teaspoon. She’s not in any pain (I think) and it’s not itchy. Also it clears up after 30 min completely.
The rash only appears on her face/throat area. Everywhere else is clear. She has no other symptoms.
Could this be allergic reaction to porridge or something else?
Any help please?

Looks like an allergic reaction. Check the porridge ingredients, a lot of them contain flours so it could be to gluten or to milk powder. You can use just plain oats ground up to check if it's an oat allergy (less likely) or one of the other ingredients.
I will do that thank you! 🥺

Yeah they often contain milk powder so do as Hattie suggested and try plain oats no milk to confirm if its the milk.

Looks the same as the allergic reaction my lil gal had when I gave her cows milk for the first time. All around the cheeks and neck so could be that

Plain oats may also give an allergic reaction if the allergy is gluten or wheat as it depends on the manufacturer so would use GF oats to rule out oat allergy.

My boy had this with porridge the other day. He's been fine with baby rice & veg puree so I need to try identify if it's milk or oats (presuming one of them!) I'm going to do some patch tests x

If you give gf oats it rules out a wheat allergy. However if allergic to oats will still cause a reaction.
Gf oats still contain oats just have a process of no cross contamination of the wheat.
However if you check your bottles of shampoo/baby moisturiser a few contains oats already which are not gf. So if they had no reaction to that it's milk. Hope that helps 😊 doves farm (a few) and avenue contain oats.
Thank you everyone!
It’s true her shampoo already has oats so cannot be that.. it could be the milk but the thing is she had baby mango yoghurt before few times and had no reaction at all..
I will have to patch test it and see what is causing it, just scared of her having a severe reaction 🥲🥲
