Montessori floor bed

Has anyone got a Montessori floor bed? Would it be suitable for my 1 year old? It’s got a gate attached to it so he can’t get out and crawl off in the night. I’m thinking of putting it in his room so I can do sleep with him as I can’t have him in mine and partners bed. I’m moving into his room but didn’t want a full height single bed as don’t want to risk anything unfortunate. Picture of floor bed for reference. Thanks

We have our floor bed. She's slept in it since she was 6m old. Just make sure it has slats under the mattress so it doesn't get moldy

My 13 month old has been in such side we moved internationally when he was 10 months old. We had to flip the gate to the wall side because he's figured out how to open it 😅 we just step over to come and go anyways. We also sleep there with him on bad nights and lay with him to put him to sleep.

@Christine can you please explain how it would get moldy without slats? I hadn't heard of this, and ours does not have slats.

@Kaity it's because air can't circulate between the mattress and the floor

I got mine from Wayfair. Amazon has a few too. And yes without slats the underside of the mattress can get moldy bc there is no air flow. Mattresses can create condensation with the change of weather and such giving it the perfect environment to create mold
