Fever

My 8 month old has a rectal fever of 101.8 and I feel clueless on what to do, half of google says contact doctor right away but his doctor is obviously closed right now, and the other half of google says it’s okay.

When my kids spike a fever I have them in light clothing and I put a cold washcloth on their foreheads and monitor them. My son’s fevers get high so I’ll put him in a Luke warm bath and that brings it down. If super uncomfortable I give Motrin or acetaminophen. You have to remember that fevers are a good thing and they are fighting the virus the way your body is designed to. But trust your mama gut you know best
